Genevieve Williams is a Washington, DC native who has performed internationally. Her most recent theatrical performance as “Deloris Van Cartier” in the musical adaptation of the movie “ Sister Act” garnered a nomination for Best Actress in a Musical or Revue (Non-Equity) 2017 from Broadway World – Baltimore. Other roles have included: “Mama Morton” in CHICAGO, “Ouiser” in STEEL MAGNOLIAS, “Motormouth Maybelle” in HAIRSPRAY, “Evillene” in THE WIZ, “Spider” in JEKYLL AND HYDE and “The Voice of Audrey II” in LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS. When not performing, Ms. Williams is a fourth grade classroom teacher in the Prince George’s County Public Schools. She would like to thank Anya and the Anacostia Playhouse for this opportunity.
